Still, I think that faith is one of the factors that prevents individuals from making positive changes in their lives and the world. Taking several, modest steps is a simpler approach that, at least in my experience, more reliably leads to actual action and the establishment of new habits.

Usually, I’ll use this one once a week. There are days when I just can’t bring myself to start working. Sitting idly on the couch is far more appealing to me. When that happens, I just focus for two minutes on what I consider to be my most pressing assignment. So, there you have it. The fact is, the hardest part is usually getting started. Once I’ve gotten going and been working for two minutes, it’s typically easy to keep going with whatever it was I was doing before.

2. At the End of the Day, Reflect on What You Accomplished.

Your day-to-day accomplishments can do wonders for your sense of pride and accomplishment. Spend just two minutes of your time at the end of the workday doing this. Have gratitude for your actions and ideas. When I am done with this post and my work for the day, that is exactly what I plan to do.

3. Reduce your expectations for the day’s pleasure.

The first thing I remind myself every morning is, “Have a low bar for happiness today.” I find that my gratitude grows as I repeat this to myself and keep it in mind throughout the day. Everything about my day, from the food to my job to the weather to the little things that happen, transforms into something I’m grateful to have. In recent years, I’ve made a conscious effort to slow down and appreciate the little things in life. Is it possible that if I find contentment in the little things in life, I may lose motivation to work toward my larger goals?

Nope.

By shifting my perspective in this way, I’ve found that I have more drive and enthusiasm to try new things and push myself to achieve bigger goals, and that I experience less inner opposition to doing so.

4. To Reduce Anxiety, Take a Few Deep Breaths.

Take a 2-minute break whenever stress begins to make you uneasy, irritable, or afraid.

Require a seat.

Take some deep, belly breaths via your nose. For the duration of the two minutes, concentrate on nothing but your breathing. There is nothing more. In the aftermath of doing this, you’ll be able to return to your work with a clearer head and a more relaxed frame of mind.

5. Allow Yourself to Get Fully Immersed in The Present Moment.

Stop dwelling in the past, where you’re only prolonging the agony of a past struggle and sinking deeper into a pit of despair. Do not live in a nightmare scenario where you completely botch your next presentation, date, or meeting.

Focus on the here and now and stop trying to change your situation. This very instant.

Relax for 2 minutes by sitting down.

Take in your immediate surroundings.

Tune in to the sounds of the outside world, such as the birds and the passing cars.

Sensitize your skin and clothes to the sun’s rays by opening a window.

Notice the slight breeze coming in via a window.

For those two minutes, give your whole attention and focus to the present moment.

Mind and body will unwind as a result of this. The mind’s burden will lighten. And an upbeat outlook will come more easily.

6. instead of passing judgment on someone, try gaining some insight into their situation.

Just take a minute or two to think before passing judgment on someone you know or could know. The recipient will be overjoyed. You’ll make someone’s day by giving them a genuine compliment, and you’ll both benefit from the increased sentiments of joy and appreciation they’ll now have for you. I think it’s a great and easy approach to making more friends.

8. Hug.

Physical closeness may seem inconsequential, yet it has a big impact on our mood and stress levels. So, go ahead and devote two minutes of your day to embracing one another. It can be as easy as giving someone praise to make your connections with everyone in your life more pleasant and rewarding.

Avoid inappropriate hugs by using some common sense.

9. To avoid being boring, try to show genuine interest.

Spend the first two minutes of a conversation asking one or two inquiries about the other person to help break the ice. Don’t just sit there waiting to talk again, pay attention. Giving someone your full attention increases the likelihood that they’ll do the same for you, laying the groundwork for a mutually beneficial and satisfying relationship of whatever nature it may be.

10.  Shake Things up a Bit.

Instead, you should try the opposite…

You should try the vegetarian option if you always order meat.

Rather than escalating a pointless argument, just leave it.

If you tend to hoard stuff, try letting go of just one object.

If you tend to avoid new experiences and adhere to your usual routine, try saying yes to an unexpected opportunity. Take a moment of introspection in an unpleasant or everyday circumstance today, and then make a choice that is out of character for you. This should take no more than two minutes of your time. If you want to have more fun, make it a habit to switch things around. To enrich one’s life in a myriad of ways. The goal is to incorporate unforeseen events. If you need to do anything out of your comfort zone, it will be far less difficult to do so.

And to experience the thrill of being fully conscious.
