Whether you’re just starting out, or you’ve been in business for a decade, there’s no such thing as too many customers. Growing your business is something you should continuously strive to do.  Here are some of the best tips for not only attracting new customers but retaining them.

Nurture Your Relationships

Nurturing your relationships with your current customers is just as important as nurturing your relationship with your potential customers. The way that you do that is by keeping them up to date with your latest news and product releases and engaging on social media. The more you can stay top of mind with your audience, the more people will think of you when they need what it is that you sell.

Offer Promos

Everyone loves a good deal. Offering a special discount is a great way to bring in new customers and keep the ones you currently have period far too often people forget about the importance of not just making new customers happy, but also making your existing ones happy. Show them you appreciate them by offering regular deals, and discounts.

Build a Referral Program

Referral programs are a great way to let your current customers do the work for you. Encourage your customers to share their positive experiences with their friends and family, and by doing so, you will reward them through a referral program. There are many different referral programs to choose from. Whether it’s a free product or a special discount, referral programs are extremely effective.

Reach Out to Prior Customers

One of your greatest lead sources can be customers who have purchased from you before. Don’t be afraid to send out a nudge to someone who hasn’t purchased from you in a while. Sometimes it’s as simple as sending a message saying, “Hey we miss you!” and offering them a discount for coming back to your store. In some cases, all it takes is a simple reminder that you’re still there to provide them with products and services.

Make Google Your Friend

It’s important that you make yourself visible on Google.  Since 80% of customers claim that they turn to Google first when looking for a local business, it’s important that your business shows up at the top of the list. 

The way that you do that is by adding yourself to Google Business. Encourage your customers to rate you if they have a positive experience. The more five-star reviews you build, the more Google will consider you a top-rated business and you’ll show up on the 1st page of local search results.

Get Involved 

Getting involved in your community is a great way to attract new customers and give yourself credibility as a business that cares about its community. Whether it’s a local sporting event, or a charity fundraiser, getting your business seen in places like these will establish you as a local participant in things that matter. 

If you haven’t already, reach out to your local town hall and ask if there are any upcoming events that you could be involved with as a sponsor.
