  • You have entered admin 192.168.1.1 IP with typos or in the search bar of the internet browser.
  • Selection of wrong firmware version for your router model.
  • You are following the incorrect Netgear router firmware update steps.

  • Enter 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.254 IP in the browser’s address bar.

  • Enter the default Netgear router password and username and click on Log In. To avoid login issues, ensure to use the correct router login username and password.
  • Select ADVANCED option and thereafter click on Administration.
  • Then, click on Firmware Update and select the Upload button.
