People in major towns of North India are avoiding regular milk in daily consumption due to the health risks it poses to the human body. Organic milk is emerging as a preferred alternative to regular milk and several households are now consuming pure cow milk in Gurgaon and other cities of North India. Several milk producers in Delhi NCR are now shifting to organic milk production as the demand for regular milk is declining and people are ordering desi cow milk in Gurgaon and other parts of Delhi NCR. Another reason why organic cow milk in Gurgaon is gaining popularity is its glass bottle packaging which is much more hygienic as compared to regular milk packaging.

Disadvantages of regular milk in daily consumption

Listed below are some of the disadvantages of regular milk in daily consumption:

Regular milk has a much shorter shelf life as compared to organic milk as it is heated to only 165 F or lower. It has low nutritional value and contains preservatives and growth hormones.

Regular milk livestock is fed with antibiotics and other drugs to boost milk production which is quite harmful to the human digestive system. Organic milk comes from cows that have never been given any drugs which means that it is guaranteed to be free of any residue.

Regular milk is often highly adulterated with chemical preservatives and other additives which can cause serious health hazards and it is normally stored in dirty containers for selling by the local milk vendors.

The production of regular milk involves a lot of human interaction making it prone to contamination. It involves animal cruelty as regular milk producers do not treat the livestock properly and raise them in inhuman conditions.

Regular milk can cause several infections and diseases like osteoporosis and has a lower protein level as compared to organic milk.

Studies have shown that regular milk has lower omega 3 fatty acids than organic milk which increases the incidence of heart disease, inflammation, cancer, and arthritis.

Regular milk production and dairy practices are not good for the environment and human health as there is rampant use of pesticides, antibiotics, hormones, and other synthetic chemical compounds.

Regular milk has been linked to higher rates of prostate and colorectal cancers, especially when consumed in large amounts. Regular milk consumption can cause several allergies and swelling of the face and mouth, watery eyes, digestive distress, stomach cramps, vomiting, and other symptoms.

Cows on conventional milk farms receive much less medical attention and are deprived of comfortable living and adequate sunlight, therefore regular milk produced from these cows is deprived of essential nutrients making it unfit for human consumption.

Regular milk often has antibiotics mixed in as a preventative measure. Hormones are included to increase milk production. Many cows are fed a diet consisting of only feed no pasture and don’t even have enough room in their stalls to lie down.

To stay safe, drink milk in moderation and choose organic cow milk in Gurgaon over regular milk.
