This is cancer that forms in the cells of the breasts. After the skin cancer, this is the most common cancer diagnosed in all over the world and this can occur in both men and women. So far it is common in women only. There has been huge awareness and research about breast cancer treatment cost in India. The signs and symptoms of this kind of cancer may include the following:
- A thickening of the tissue which may feel unusual
- The change in size, shape or appearance of a breast

- Being female: This problem is most commonly seen in females as compared to males. The risk of such diseases increases as the person grows in age.
- The personal history of conditions: in case the person has undertaken some biopsy in the breast area then there is an increased risk of having breast cancer
- Family history: in case the mother, sister, daughter was diagnosed with the same problem then the risk of such problems is increased. Majority of the people diagnosed cancer have no family history of this disease
- Inherited genes: there are some genes that can carry such a disease from parents to children. These genes can carry the risk of the disease but will not make it inevitable.
- Exposure to radiation: in case one has received radiation treatments as a child then the risks of such a cancer is increased. Even being obese will increase the chances of having breast cancer.
- Early periods and late menopause: in case one has experienced early periods and late menopause then there can be high chances of having breast cancer.
