Army knives were the world’s first introduction to the convenience of having multiple tools to use in different scenarios. However, at Shieldon, we recognize that modern lifestyles involve more adventure and most people may require an even wider range of tools than an army knife can provide.
Shieldon multi-tools are designed to address these diverse needs. They make it possible for anyone to have the right set of tools for their own version of limitless travels and adventure.
Some of our multi-tool options include an army knife, a bike repair tool, screwdriver and spanner, pliers and life hammer, wire cutter and wood saw, bottle opener and screwdriver combinations.
Notably, the two tools mentioned to describe some multi-tools are only key elements in a set. Each multi-tool combination comprises many more tools such as blades, hexagonal wrenches, keyrings, carabiners, box cutters, or measuring tools. Our 20-in-1 army knife has the highest number of tool components.
The tool components are made of either 2Cr13 or 420 steel and most of them are encased in plastic or aluminum handles(where necessary). All of these materials are sturdy and corrosion-resistant. Aluminum and plastic are, additionally, lightweight, and help keep the multi-tool from being too heavy.
Shieldon multi-tools are either retractable or foldable. For safety, the retractable tools can be secured in place using a locking mechanism like a frame lock or a liner lock, among other options.
Most multi-tools also close into a compact shape that can be neatly encased in a sheath. We produce different designs of sheaths using materials such as leather, nylon, and plastic depending on the type of multi-tool to be encased. They too can, however, be custom-made to fulfill the requirements of an ODM or OEM project.

The combination of tools, for example, can be adjusted to include or exclude certain tools. The size, handle materials, and color of a multi-tool set can be customized on request as well. If branding is required, the tools, handle, or sheath can also be heat-stamped or embossed with a brand logo.
In a nutshell, there is hardly a custom EDC multi-tool design that we can not consider. Our manufacturing capabilities are advanced enough to execute most concepts as long as our R&D team approves their viability.
