Eco Style Bathroom Design

Eco-style interiors are one of the main trends of our time, and this fashion, of course, has not bypassed bathrooms. Moreover, eco-style is the most relevant, appropriate, and organic in the Bathroom with high end bathroom vanities. In this functional zone, a person naturally comes into contact with his nature and fully interacts with the natural element of water. Eco-style bathroom design rules are universal and relatively simple – natural shades, natural textures, and green plants.

Natural shades for Bathroom

In an eco-interior, neutral, not too bright colors and muted shades are welcome. Still, you should not confuse pastel colors. For example, for a classic bedroom, with a natural palette of shades for an eco-style. Not brown, but earthy, peaty, or woody; instead of light yellow – sand and so on. By the way, blue-green and blue, or their natural brothers – sea wave, turquoise, aquamarine, and others – are not welcome in an eco-interior. You can use them exceptionally in micro amounts, as they are firmly attached to the marine style in perception.

Eco-style bathroom design does not imply a riot of colors and pronounced color contrasts. The visual picture should be rather soothing. Still, the owners of eco-baths certainly have the right to color spots! Firstly, the natural exception is the color of greenery (not green, but the color of foliage!), Which can be as rich and bright as you like. Secondly, it is white. Perhaps the eco-style is one of the few in which white plays the role of not a context, not a background, but a color spot. The question of whether white is needed in an eco-bathroom is still controversial.

Dazzling, crystal white (usually sanitary ceramics of this color) does not exist in nature. However, the use of such a color in the Bathroom’s interior with floating double vanity allows you to add a pinch of civilization to achieve stylization. However, white is useless if the goal is to achieve the most realistic imitation of a natural cave grotto.

Natural textures in Bathroom

Stone and wood – without them, an eco-style bathroom is unimaginable. But how exactly to use these textures will tell the designer’s imagination. The most common options are stone-like porcelain stoneware surfaces, plus wood veneer finishing of furniture facades. Everyday decor – floor compositions from river pebbles and wall panels from semi-precious stones. It is better to use curtains made of natural materials – silk, cotton, linen for window decoration. And by no means blinds, except natural bamboo. It is also worth considering that the design of an eco-style bathroom prefers finishing materials, if not with strict, then somewhat rough textures. In any case, matte surfaces are preferable to gloss.

Plants in the Bathroom

Plants in an eco-interior perform two functions at once – they create a natural atmosphere and serve as a bright, and the only, color accent. As a green “base” in the interior of an eco-style bathroom, you can use several large-sized plants, for example, dwarf trees in tubs. They can be supplemented with medium and small plants in flowerpots, making it possible to play with different shades of greenery. The choice between artificial and live plants is not worth it – the more vegetation, the better! Natural wall panels made of stabilized moss are a topical novelty in interior design with an eco-prefix.
