Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp defends right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold amid criticism of his defensive performances

Despite widespread criticism of Alexander-Arnold’s defensive performances, the Liverpool manager has stood by the England under-21 international. Alexander-Arnold’s performance at the back has been hampered by an inability to make key decisions in the final third, a position that is largely responsible for his team’s struggles this season. He has slipped to the point where he has made several basic errors and has appeared slack at times. Moreover, Liverpool’s system has lacked support for the player and has made him an isolated figure.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has come under fire this season after failing to reproduce his best form last season. But the defender has been praised by Klopp for his offensive abilities. He says that the relationship between a right back and a striker is crucial in Liverpool’s formation. He believes that the right-back can set up goals and get the ball into dangerous areas. He also believes that playing together for longer periods of time helps the pair.

Klopp backs Alexander-Arnold: ‘He’s won quite a few finals’

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has responded to criticism of his right back Trent Alexander-Arnold. The young Englishman has been under scrutiny this season after making a series of mistakes for Liverpool. Klopp, however, has defended the youngster and pointed out that he has a good amount of experience playing in big games.

The Liverpool manager has hit back at Gary Neville for criticising the young right-back. The Manchester United legend has said that he would not trust the 24-year-old defender in a big game. Nevertheless, the Liverpool boss has defended his young star, saying: ‘He’s won quite t a few finals’.

Klopp backs Caoimhin Kelleher

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has defended his first-choice goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher after the goalkeeper was criticised for the team’s performance against Chelsea. The goalkeeper made a crucial save from Romelu Lukaku and kept his cool throughout the game. The club’s players gave Kelleher a lot of confidence after he picked up an injury while playing for Ireland in the Nations League. He has now been ruled out for two to three weeks. He has missed the Community Shield.

The England international has suffered a disappointing start to the season but remains an important part of Liverpool’s squad. While on international duty, Klopp backed Kelleher and defended him, stating: “We must respect the opinions of our players. It is not fair to criticise a player just because they have been criticised for their own shortcomings.”

Klopp says he will not worry about club’s ownership until things are “not positive”

Klopp said on Wednesday that he has been in contact with the Red Sox’ ownership group every day and that he is not concerned about the ownership until things are “not positive.” While in Boston, Klopp met with Henry and his wife Linda Pizzuti. The pair were pictured together in a club shop, and Henry expressed displeasure that Klopp had worn the rival team’s cap during a recent trip to Ibiza.

The transfer of Coutinho has caused controversy among fans. The Reds were unable to sign the Brazilian for a fee of PS142 million, despite his recent decision to sign a new contract. Coutinho had been linked with Barcelona, but Klopp believes that it was a good deal for the club and for the player yalla shoot.
