Why the World Would End Without Sustainable Shirts

We all know how environmentally devastating flying is, yet what is more shocking is that the fashion industry uses more energy than both the shipping and aviation industry!

Now that is quite a lot!

Why are we, from the fashion industry, talking about the dark side of our industry? Well, you see, we adore the work we do. We got into this industry because of our undying love for fashion.

At the same time, our heart beats for this beautiful blue marble we call earth. We are forever indebted for the marvellous experiences mother nature bestows upon us. And so it hurts us so much to read these shocking facts.

Fashion Industry’s Impact on the Environment

Here are a few facts to consider:

Nearly 10% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions come from the fashion industry. Their long supply chains are to blame. The production of garments requires the consumption of a lot of energy.

The global fashion industry dishes out almost 20% of wastewater. Just as an example, A pair of your beloved jeans uses about 10,000 litres of water. And all this is only to grow 1 Kg of cotton required to make them!

Up to 85% of textiles eventually end up being dumped in landfills. Either that or they’re incinerated. The worst part is, most of the materials are good enough to be reused! It’s a crime.

How Are We Moving Forward?

Thanks to the UN’s initiatives, the fashion industry is becoming more conscious of its choices and their impact. Green fashion week is an event held as an alternative fashion show to celebrate the efforts made by brands to preserve and sustain environmental resources.

Brands such as H&M, Adidas, Nike, Levi’s and many more are consciously propagating the need for change. They are mindful of their carbon footprint. By measures taken to reduce | Re-use | Recycle, they can create stylish staples while being kind to mother earth.

We are proud to announce that Merino wool shirts for men are specially engineered to work hard for you to keep you comfortable. Gone are the days when you needed to worry about creases and stains.

We have made it our mission to create fashionable and sustainable shirts for men. We believe in providing high comfort shirts that don’t compromise on performance, all while being mindful of our environmental impact.

Sustainable shirts are the need of the hour. If we are not mindful of our choices and continue to exploit our planet’s resources, all for a brief vogue moment, we would be leeching away reserves from our future. Sustainable shirts are here to stay. We are proud to be on the bandwagon to save our future and we want you to share our journey.
