WV Poet Pansylee VanMeteren Releases Book Enigmatic Evolution

Pansylee VanMeteren (born August 1 1961) author, pens under the non de plume,The Muse (Muse), is an author of poetry and prose.  Daughter of an American naval officer, she currently resides in the South Branch Valley of WV United States.

Early in her career, Muse engaged her writing and language skills for more technical purposes, such as document translation for government entities. She continued to write poetically, in secret, using her pen name, Muse.

An inner moral compass is evident in her work. Pieces reflect both past and present dilemmas and her own personal struggles to overcome these obstacles, from her faith based perspective. Light touches of modernism play hand in hand with old world strokes, offering a highly visceral read. In 2010, a genesis compilation of Muse, Enigmatic Evolution, gave rise to her poetic voice.

Muse’s creations are predominately lyrical often resulting in poetic sonnets. Lengths of work vary from simple and compact poetry to elaborately  complex pieces. Thematically her writing pattern engages an autobiographical subtext. Her sensitivity and perspective are quite clearly faith based. Structurally the Muse’s works involve a blend of poetry and prose. Elegantly fluid sentence formation create an often old world environment. Highly figurative language is used extensively through out her work, and is readily displayed in Enigmatic Evolution.

Upon release of the Muse’s poetry, her creations are being welcomed in several genres. Her love sonnets are being contracted for use in weddings, (vows and programs). British singer Freyia is molding a selected piece of prose from Enigmatic Evolution for her upcoming album. Two childrens’ books, inspired by Muse prose, are currently in the editing phase. The Muse is working with the talented photographer Dan Felstead for three of her future releases. A music video is in the works, bringing to life a prose from the Muse’s book, Enigmatic Evolution.
