La Marzocco is an Italian company that specializes in the manufacture of high end espresso coffee equipment and machines. The company was founded by Bruno and Giuseppe Bambi in the year of 1972 in the Italian city of Florence.

After manufacturing their first coffee machine the Bambi brothers started their own activity from 1927. Their activity was based on hand crafting espresso machines. They named their company Marzocco which means the symbol of victory in the city of Florence.

Throughout the 20th century La Marzocco Sydney introduced a range of technology and improved ergonomics as coffee consumption in Italy was increasing. The first espresso machine was patented by La Marzocco in 1939 with a horizontal potboiler. 1947 onwards La Marzocco started manufacturing its own models after the leverage machines had been introduced.

The Italians have had espresso by making coffee where a small amount of boiling water is forced under pressure via finely ground coffee beans. Espresso coffees are made with a plethora of coffee beans and roasts The higher concentration of dissolved and suspended solids tend to make espressos a bit thicker.  They typically have a characteristic foam type cream on the top. The espresso flavours are concentrated to a greater extent due to the pressure involved in its making.

Contrary to beliefs espresso contains more caffeine per unit volume than other beverages. The total caffeine content is usually less than the mug of a standard coffee. The basic caffeine content of any coffee depends largely on the bean origin, roast method and the size among other factors. In case of an espresso a typical serving consists of 120 to 170 milligrams of caffeine.

Espresso is not a type of bean. It is a method of brewing as well as a coffee beverage. There are a number of ways by which the overall popularity of espresso has developed over the years. Espresso consumption is moreover associated somewhat to urbanization as well. Espresso bars have served as a popular destination for socialising. Some of the finest and most decorated cities in the world have hoards of espresso cafes. For instance Milan, La Marzocco Sydney, New York, Amsterdam have some of the finest espresso cafes.

In countries like the U.S.A, Australia or the U.K espresso became popular in the form of cappuccino which meant drinking coffee with milk which had a display of an exotic foam. The U.K saw the popularity of the espresso in the 1950s mainly among the youths who were welcomed more in coffee shops than in pubs.

The popularity of the home espresso machines have increased to a significant extent thanks to the general rise of espresso consumption. Today people install a range of espresso equipment in their homes and kitchens. Scientists are of the opinion that espresso coffee boasts a high level of dietary mineral magnesium and vitamin B niacin which is absent in regular coffees. The cell functionality of the body tends to improve with the consumption of the right amount of caffeine. It acts well as a preventive measure against heart related diseases.

It is a well known fact that the regular drinkers of espresso are a lot less likely to develop dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. This has been concluded by a vast number of studies on the effects of coffee on brain. Espresso can also be served with steamed milk as well as wet or dry foamed milk. There is a difference between the method of preparation of baristas and drinks.
