The electric tyres launched by Pirelli were developed and designed to help them adapt well to the features, balance, built and drive characteristics of any vehicle. They were launched under the name of Pirelli Elect P Zero tyres.

The passing of decades has seen an instant rise in the quantity of electric cars all across the globe. With the increasing transformation of conventional cars into four-wheeler electric cars, the components within have also seen a transformation as per the evolving needs of car enthusiasts from across the world.

Being one of the most vital components of a car and the primary contact point between the road and the car, they are often neglected by drivers. If the car does not possess the correct set of tyres, it might result in reduced performance, ultimately causing an accident. In the same way, the tyres of electric vehicles differ greatly from the traditional type of tyres.

The tyres developed by Pirelli are exclusively designed to suit the electric range of cars. These tyres need to be prepared to adapt to the progressing alterations in the new generation of cars. These tyres were produced in response to the changing needs of the new era.

The evolution though has not been simple and easy. The tyres are a result of cooperation from the manufacturers of cars. An extensive amount of research, development, time, effort and work has gone behind manufacturing these set of tyres. The role of these departments has been extremely crucial in this process.

Traditional tyres Edgware are not meant to produce as much output as needed for electric vehicles. They start wearing out quickly if they are placed on electric vehicles, given they offer more torque than the cars having an internal combustion engine. This may cause an increase in the acceleration of the vehicles.

The rubber used for these tyres is very soft as compared to conventional tyres. The sidewall is also different in both kinds of tyres. The weight of the battery is felt on the car’s floor. Hence, if the material is hard on the tyre sidewall, it is beneficial in taking care of the extra weight. The ideal kind of electric vehicle tyre has the ability to expand the driving range by almost 5 to 10 per cent.

The noise created by these Firestone tyres Edgware in motion is also considered an important feature. Electric vehicles are comparatively quieter than the other type of internal combustion cars. The makers of the tyres need to keep in mind that no sharp noise should come from the tyres and the dampers need to be used accordingly.

Pirelli has its own system for cancelling the noise generated from tyres, which is incorporated during the production of the tyres. There are many other manufacturers, apart from Pirelli, that are working towards adapting to these newfound changes. Popular brands like Goodyear and Continental are the two most important ones out of the lot.

The aim is to reduce the wearing of these tyres and increasing the torque performance. Manufacturers are working day and night to innovate technologies like efficient grip performance to help people and the environment benefit from the results of these technologies.

The big brands are constantly competing not with each other but with themselves to create something exclusive and useful for car enthusiasts all over the world. Each of the big brands has their loyalists who are constantly wanting to stay updated for any such new invention or advancement.
